2025 Cosplay Contest
Calling all cosplayers! The 2025 Georgian Bay FanCon Cosplay Contest is now open for registration, and we want to see your creativity shine on stage. Whether you’re bringing to life your favourite character or debuting an original design, this is your chance to impress the crowd and our panel of guest judges.
This inaugural showcase-style contest will be judged on creativity, enthusiasm, and effort. Don’t worry, this is not a craftsman-based contest, so get out there and have fun!
Details:
- Time: 2:00
- Location: The Community Room Stage
- Contestants will meet in the green room no later than 1:45. This meeting space is located down the community center hallway. Signage will be posted, but feel free to ask a volunteer for directions. All contestants will parade to the stage, and will take turns being announced in front of the audience and judges. Once the judges deliberate, three winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded!

Saphiiira is a competitive cosplayer, Twitch affiliate, 3D printing & design wizard, and published creator who has wowed audiences across the cosplay community — with award-winning builds showcased at major conventions.
Not only will you get the chance to meet her at GB FanCon, but she’ll also be joining us as an official judge of our Cosplay Contest — where epic prizes await!
About:
Cosplayer Crickle became a cosplayer upon attending her first Comicon in 2019 as Wonder Woman. There she fell in love with the both the craft and the community.
Some of Crickle’s favourite characters to portray include Wonder Woman, Scarlet Witch, She-ra, and her own original D&D character, Cricklelf, amongst others. Check out her Instagram page for more!
In recent years, Crickle has taught herself (through many hours of YouTube and trial-and-error) to build her own cosplays using EVA foam / foam clay, PVP piping, 3D printing, and the use of body makeup and prosthetics.
Crickle has now been a guest and/or panelist / cosplay judge at more than a dozen conventions and events across the country. This is your chance to come and meet her at GB FanCon 2025 on September 27, where she will be both a guest and a cosplay judge!

Mizz Chantal Cosplay has been cosplaying since 2008 and is a true lover of all things Batman. Over the years, her passion for the cosplay community has only grown stronger — and she’s here to celebrate that it’s finally cool to be a nerd!
In recent years, Mizz Chantal has taken her craft to the next level, blending her photography background, 3D printing skills, and set-building expertise to create immersive cosplay experiences. She’s also developed a flair for prop-making, with a special love for building iconic weapons that will never die.

Hall Pass Prizes:
Saphiira will be awarding three lucky cosplayers with Hall Pass awards throughout the day. You do not need to participate in the cosplay contest to be eligible. Attend the FanCon in your best cosplay and you could be one of the lucky winners!
